A composite material made by using synthetic resin as a binder and glass fiber and its products as reinforcing materials is called glass fiber reinforced plastic. Due to its high strength, which can be compared to steel, it is also known as fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP).
The specific gravity of lightweight high-strength fiberglass is only 1.4-2.0, which is only 1/4-1/6 of ordinary steel grids, about 113 lighter than aluminum. It is non-conductive and will not dissolve ions in electrolyte solutions. Therefore, it has good chemical stability to atmospheric, water, and general concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, and other media. Especially, it has strong non oxidizing acids and good adaptability in media with a wide range of P values. In the past, some media that could not be handled with stainless steel, such as hydrochloric acid, chlorine gas, carbon dioxide, dilute sulfuric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and sulfur dioxide, can now be effectively solved with fiberglass.
This product is molded from glass fiber bulk molding material, and the molding process is reliable.
